Hunt Regional Medical Center’s health information management (HIM) department received the 2019 Exemplary Five Star Service Award from the Texas Department of State Health Services’ vital statistics unit. The award is based on accurate and timely reporting of birth records. Hunt Regional is one of only 14 hospitals in the state of Texas to receive the exemplary award.
In addition to the Five Star Service Award, the HIM department also received the 2019 Office of Attorney General Award for Acknowledgment of Paternity. Hunt Regional Medical Center maintained a quality control score of 100%, demonstrating perfect accuracy for paternity records they submitted.
