Commerce, Texas— This past weekend, employees and families of Hunt Regional Healthcare took part in the excitement of “Hunt Regional Healthcare Night” at the A&M-Commerce Lion Athletics football game. The event featured tailgating, grilling, and opportunities to strengthen our partnership with the dedicated Lion community. The Lions faced off against Sacramento State, coinciding with the university’s Family Weekend festivities.
A special moment of the evening was the on-field recognition of Hunt Regional Healthcare. Vice President for Business Development, Travis Potter, accepted a game ball to honor our organization’s partnership.
Since August 2023, Hunt Regional has proudly served as the official healthcare partner for the Lion Athletics department, providing comprehensive medical oversight and healthcare support to all 14 Division I sports programs. Under the leadership of Athletic Chief Medical Officer Scott Pierce, DO, our services include pre-participation evaluations, imaging, and lab work, when necessary, acute injury management, concussion assessments, and coordination of specialty care. Additionally, our team works closely with administrators and training staff to develop, revise, and implement “standard of care” protocols, ensuring the highest quality of care for the athletes
